Hello All,

I Have A8 Vette. I Would Like To Know Which Cold Air Intake System And Also Exhaust I Should Buy?

My Electronic Temprature Gauge Goes Dim To The Point That I Do't See Any Numbers. The Driver Side Temprature Does Not Go Below 78. Please Advise

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of Corvette ownership!!!! And I see you’re jumping right into the Mods, gee it didn’t take you long to get bit!

To answer your first question, it would be helpful if you gave us an indication of how handy you are working around a car, how much you’re willing to spend, if looks are a governing factor and if you like to “make” your own stuff. Intakes range from almost free, like a terrific flowing Mod you can do with the stock components and a wall pocket (those things mounted to the wall that you put papers in?) to the $500 plus Calloway Honker (One of the best IMO)…

Your Digital climate display is going dim because of cold solder joints on several “241” resistors. You’ll have to take it out and re-solder those resistors, then it’ll be like new again… I have the detailed procedure in a Word Doc…

The actuator door being out of synch with the HVAC unit causes the symptom you’re experiencing on the driver’s side. Often you can resynchronize the doors by pulling the power to the HVAC system via fuses or the battery cables, once power is restored the actuator doors go through their full travel and resynchronize with the HVAC control unit. IF that doesn’t fix it, you can re-index the door’s drive gears to force it to work properly. Again I have all these instructions but they are too large to attach here

I’ll need your EMail address to send you all the instructions I discussed…

My digital climate display is also failing. I would really appreciate the fix on the Word Document. Thanks. email: deanabob37@comcast.net
