Is there a way to open the rear deck on my 86 roadster if the electric actuators should fail? Thanks for any feedback

Yes, reach under the rear molding, roller shade to the pass side. There is a wire that is about 6 in long, pull on this and the hatch will open. If you want a pic I can get one tomorrow

Hi all... I am referring to the deck that lifts to store the convertible top when folded down...Is the wire that you refer to a manual release. The button on the drivers door sometimes activates the electric release but sometimes is balky. Thanks Carl

on my 87 u can reach under deck and manually pull on cables at latch. if your actuator works maybe cable needs adjusted.:cheers:
