Well just perfect! My 1999 is starting to give me more and more problems? Brakes are near gone, doesn't run correctly (all ready working with diablo), and I just checked the oil this morning and I'm down almost a full court? The car just had any oil change about 2 months ago and couldn't have gotten more than 2000 miles put on it? Can a bad tune cause the car to burn oil? I mean a court is alot right? Thanks for the help!

Don't give up on her!! She is just needing a little more attention. A bad tune shouldn't burn oil, that would only burn more gas if it was tuned on the rich side. But for the brakes just get some new ones and that will take care of that for a good while. As for the burning of the oil, I would assume that you could very well have a small leak some where. Actually, how long does it take to burn that quart?

If you want to solve the problem do a leak down test on all of the cylinders. It involves bringing each cylinder up to TDC and pressurizing the cylinder with air and measuring how much air is leaking out of the cylinder. If leak down results are above 15% there is something to be concerned about with that cylinder (the lower leakage the better). If the results are high with a cylinder it's either going to have worn out piston rings, bad head gasket, or valves that aren't sealing. Typically the piston rings are the culprit. If all of the leak down results are fine the valve guides are probably worn out and leaking oil into the cylinder when the valves are open.
