Yesterday I took the '87 down to the supermarket for a little ride, after I shut off the car, there was a noise almost like a humming noise coming from below the car? My first guess I thought it might have been the fuel pump, however that fuel pump is only 8 months old. Perhaps I just didn't notice this before, this is the first time I have noticed this noise - this weekend I am going down to a buddies garage to put it up on a hoist!

look into your electric cooling fans, i had a noise with mine some time back and they replaced the fans the noise went away, if memory serves me the bearings where bad, other than that I would say your power antenna?

My first guess would have been the fuel pump? After the car has been sitting for a bit, try turning the key to a notch and listen... if you hear that noise still it may be your fuel pump.
