My 2002 Z06 has tremendous wheelspin in first gear even with traction control on. I could be just rolling into a turn with mid gas and turn a little the car will start to slide? What can I do to control the wheel spin? My tires are good and shouldn't need to be replaced yet? I know the traction control is doing something, but it only jumps in for short time then wheels continue to spin?

Let off the gas a bit? I have no problems spinning/sliding my car in first gear as long as I don't punch it all crazy like. I'm 200+rwhp over stock and I am almost positive my car would not slide with stock hp when pushing it hard in turns. I use to have a G-Meter and would regularly try to see how hard i could push the car in turns and would pull 1+g's all the time with no spinning. I'd say ease off the throttle a bit when turning...or start at a slower speed and ease into it.

I am in the same boat as with probably everyone else with the fact that if you give your Vette a nice foot plant on the "go pedal" they will all most likely spin out. This is just with the majority as there are some guys with their Vettes built for road racing and can get away with this a bit more.
