Has anyone out there put 6" or 6 1/2" Subwoofers where the stock rear speakers are located. I know that JL Audio has a 6" Subwoofer that would fit but I am looking for someone who has already done this so I can hear how 2 small rear subwoofers work out. Thanks.

Are these actually 6" subs you are refering to or a mid range speaker? If mid ranch - I replaced all my speakers with the following: Boston Pro 60 6 1/2" 2 way w/1" Alloy dome tweeters (front speakers), Boston SL 65 2 way 6 1/2" (rear speakers), 2 JL Audio 10" subs in custom made box, Alpine PDX 600 Watt Amp (powering front speakers) & Alpine PDX 1000 Watt Amp (powering the rear subs).
We removed the stock amps of course and have everything powering off of the Alpines in the back. This was in a 05, however of the sounds of it the rear speakers are the same size. The Boston speakers are incredible sound.
If you were refering to actually 6" subs? I was not aware of subs that size and too would be interested in hearing how they sound!

No kidding 6" woofers? I didn't know you could get woofers that small to fit in stock speaker locations. I know my local stereo shop has 8" woofers - I was thinking about adding some subs in the back as well! If you decide to go with the 6" woofers post your experience.

You might want to consider a subthump enclosure. I went with the Dual 10 with JL's(see link). Sounds great. http://www.subthump.com/vette.htm
