: Trick Flow?
SickC5 01-31-2009, 07:13 AM Is anybody running the Trick Flow GenX top-end kit? Trick Flow claims 515hp/460tq (assuming crank) and they only want $3,100 for the kit (heads, cam, pushrods, harland sharp roller rocker arms, GM Performance gaskets, and bolts!)
The cam specs are 228/230 @.050" and .585/.585" lift. i'm not sure if the rockers are 1.7 or 1.8 ratio. Originally i wanted to run the LG Motorsports G5X3 grind, but im really curious now about this kit. i want a nasty sounding cam with a ton of power, yet still streetable with a 6speed. Any Suggestions? Maybe a different cam suggestion?
quakershaker 01-31-2009, 07:24 AM Not sure about that particular setup but I have always heard good stuff about Trick Flow and the numbers that their products produce.

I have read a lot of positive stuff in the car magazines about Trick Flow set ups.

Spiral04 01-31-2009, 11:30 AM I have the TFS 215 heads milled down to 61cc and I believe that is the cam I have if it's a 228/230/112. I went wit Yella Terra 1.7 rockers. I ended up at 444rwhp and 414tq. :burnout:

:drool5: how's the cam sound? from what i know about the specs, i would think it probably has a pretty nice, lopey idle.
Spiral04 01-31-2009, 03:40 PM Sounds great to me and what was more important was the powerband. No waiting till 4000rpms like alot of the bigger cams. You can tell the car has a cam, but doesn't shake the car. I had GHL exhaust and went back to TI's, now I want the GHL's again. You could definitely hear the cam alot better with the aftermarket exhaust. Best of all, it drives like stock and no stalling.

killerB 02-02-2009, 06:25 AM I would stick with the Trick Flows and just get them to put the lift over 600 and then you will have your combo!!!!!
SickC5 02-02-2009, 01:38 PM i'll give trick flow a call when the time comes
tanner07 02-02-2009, 07:59 PM :iagree: Very reasonable price too!

The cam actually has a very nice sound to it. If you search on Youtube I have come across some vids of cars with that cam in that you can listen to. It is a very streetable set up with a 6 speed!!
