Can anybody help me with possible drivability issues with a hyper tech chip in a 1982 crossfire.

Is it worth the cost and since there are 2 available is the low temp model a better choice in the sunny south.

I have both the street/strip and drag chips. They both delay the torque convertor lock up to 40 miles per hour, and they both provide the 1-2-3-4 shift sequence; rather than the 1-2-4 light throttle shift sequence of the stock chip. I can't tell one bit of difference between the Hypertech street/strip and drag chips. And neither chip will allow my car to pass smog, so when the bi-yearly smog test comes around, I have to change back to the stock chip.

Yes, the drivability is great with either of the 2 Hypertech chips. Smoother running at all engine speeds, and with no "lean" feel. And they both eliminate that annoying 1-2-4 shift that the stock chip gives.

I have the ADS chip with 180* stat in my 84 crossfire and it works great.
