I have gone 150+ in Montana {with my wife asleep in the car} the vette rode so smoothly she only woke up when I was slowing down, at 110 she said you are going too fast,I said OH MY GOSH I didnt notice I crept up that high!

185 in a 98 coupe? My 98 coupe has a few bolt ons and the top speed of my car was 168 and that was on the Dyno. I've been at 150 for a few seconds in my vette

I got the same thing but it was after the video was played all the way to the end. Then it restarted and said that the video has been removed because it violated terms of use or some such. :burnout:

i know of the owner of that car. he is popular on the other vette forum... that is a heavily modified c5. im talking like it makes in the 850rwhp range! its a supercharged 408 or something...

he is the spokes guy for Torco if i recall...

he has a lot of vids racing some badass bikes... and he wins!!!

I dont let up for nothing ever.. So at the end of the run with the bikes always ends like this.
Were both going as fast as we can then the bikers leans their bike down , dropping :vomitbuddy: their heads down to the side of the road NEXT to my front tire...Trying to get just a little more speed to get by me and they never do... But Im always afraid od driving over their heads...

185 is do able in a 98 coupe, a 99 coupe hit 178 at Bonneville Salt Flats and it was completely stock.
Top speed is power limited in 98/99 cars, not rpm limited, so with intake and exhaust mods and no cat he should have enough added power to hit 185...............

As far as the video, that car did not hit 190mph, maybe 190 kph if that. Trees were going by way to slow.

Cool Video but I don't think he hit 190 either. I don't know if I'd attempt 190 on that road. I'd have to have a longer vision path to attempt that.

190 is just stupid fast. The R1 is a sweet bike. I have a buddy with an O5 R1 and he said the bike takes forever to climb any speed over 176.

I've seen that vid before, and am fairly certain that it used to include a camera shot of the speedo at an indicated 190 at the end.

If its the purple C5 owned by Joel he replaced 5th and 6th gear with lower gears. This allows him to top out at ~195 and he does have the power. He walked an Enzo on video :beerbang:
