Just got my 07 Z51 with only 6600 miles, everything seems fine but the clutch sounds a little rough. Is that normal? what is up with the stupid relay to start the car with the clutch pressed. Thinking to take it out. Any suggestion?

Not sure what your sounds actually are so am hesitant to say that you're ok, but I am on my second Corvette with a 6-speed manual and under some conditions letting out the clutch going into 1st gear there are some sounds that are associated with the Tremec 6speed - my understanding is that they are normal. I put 50k on the 1999 FRC that I owned and never had a problem. Have driven other C5's and they all made the same sounds. My latest Vette is a '08 Z06 and it makes the same noise. I'd call it a low pitched groan and it doesn't happen unless I let out the clutch a certain way (the smoother I am the better). On the other hand if it is a high pitched squeal, might be the throw-out bearing going bad. Don't really know enough about them to say I know what I am talking about, but that's my thoughts.
