I really don't have advice for your situation, I just like to read on how others are keeping the C4's going and adding serious power to them. I just don't have the funds to beef my own at this time but in the future I would love to SC my own!! Good luck and post some pic when your build is complete!!

okay heres d deal im trying to:
1) try to get around 500 hp ( supercharger + headers+ exuast system)
2)get the suspension set up so it doesnt bounce over every bump if thats even possible? This is the my most disliked aspect of these cars even the new ones behave this way.
3) set up the drive system so it doesnt collaps without throwing too much money at it.

D day is January 21-08

I already have a supercharger in mind
I need advice on suspension headers exhaust clutch and anything else you can help me with. Thanks

From what I've read so far, supercharging and road racing do not play well together. You might want to check into this further.

2)get the suspension set up so it doesnt bounce over every bump if thats even possible? This is the my most disliked aspect of these cars even the new ones behave this way.

Check with Vette Brakes Products (VBP) in St. Petersburg, Fl.
They have a huge variety of specialty parts for various racing applications. They also have a staff of very knowlegeable people willing to help:cheers:

You might want to speak with Lou from LG or one of the guys in the "other" (CF) forum's autocross section for thier input and ideas?Just a thought. A lot of the hop in corners has to do with the transfer caused by the transverse spring. If you're going to go road course, I'd consider a full coil over system or the new airbag system from Stainless. From what I hear, they're doing well with the autocross guys.

3) set up the drive system so it doesnt collaps without throwing too much money at it.

By the "Drive system" are you referring to the drive "train?"
If so, good luck:lol: That seems to be the weak link in our cars under continued heavy use:(

I'd take it to a reputable builder with specific use in mind and explain what you need done. Find someone whose either into this type racing or has done similar applications (again, check the autocross/roadracing forums) and work with them.

Gave you my input in bold above. Best of luck with your car:cheers:

I dont get why superchargers and autocross or road racing dont go together all that torque id think thats what you would want.

on the springs ill check it just seems to be too much too soon on this car the supercharger system alone is going to set me back $3800.

The brakes i was going to use were 6 pot ceramic calipers from Foward Systems im not set on this but it just seems like the way to go.

Im definitely going to look into the airbags seems easyer than coilovers.

anyway thanks ill take more advise.

As for the supercharger, depending on which manufacturer you go with there are several things to consider. Vortech uses the engine oil for lubrication and this can add more heat to your engine oil temps and during hard cornering (Auto-X or road course) you may starve the SC for oil (briefly). It all takes a toll. If you use an intercooler/afterooler it will most likely mount in front of the radiator. Good for power but it blocks the engine radiator and raises engine temps. Also consider adding coolers for the tranny as well as some form of heat shield wrap around the suspension parts near the wheel/brakes. This area get s very hot for wheel/tire temps as well as heat from the brakes. If you haven't tracked your car before your best bet is to take it to the track with a good set of sticky tires and learn to drive it to the max as it is. Most novice road course enthusiasts will find they (we) can't get the most from what we already have. Making changes to suspension and spending that money won't necessarily make you faster.

If you're just getting started I recommend: sticky tires such as Nitto RR's, racing seat(s), a harness bar (I use Brey Krause) and harness belts (3 inch - 4 point system minimum).

okay im going with Jet Technologies Superchargers they have an aftercooler set up that has the intercooler radiator mounting under the car not in front of the radiator. This system does not tap into the engine its got its own reservoir outside mounted on the side bracket. I am a novice for sure im trying to make it fun without going nuts i want the power cause everyone out there seems to have a chip on thier porsche sweaters and i souldnt mind nocking it off with a car costing one third theirs.
I do want to start slow my thing is figuring out if i need to put brake pads ( what kind of pads) and what if anything i can do about the wheel hop without wapping springs i cant stand it at all it feels dangerous driving this thing in the canyons even though it has never brocken loose i have this sensation that it may do it at any moment just feels so nervous all the time when your doing any kind of sport driving. Thanks

With a set of decent coil overs should help with the wheel hop, KW or Pfadt are both reasonably priced. Post some pics of the supercharger, have never heard of them, interested to see how that works out for you.
