I have a friend with 2005 C6 who just upgraded his nav unit and is willing to sell me his stock one for good price. My question is will this work or get made to work in 2003 C5? I know theres alot of computer stuff attached to these things so wanted to check first before buying. Thanks for the help. Steve

I was told a while back you are better off going with an aftermarket nav unit, but this was also from a car audio shop?

Agree, I'm not very impressed with the stock nav units compared to some of the other aftermarket ones available. Big difference, Pioneer, Alpine and Eclispe are the best units.

Your C5 WILL ACCEPT A 1 DIN UNIT, POSSIBLY A DIN AND HALF MADE BY ALPINE. THE IN DASH UNITS IN THE C6 ARE A 2 DIN. DIN IS USED IN THE INDUSTRY FOR THE SIZE OF AUDIO UNITS.

Also, the C6 uses a different communication protocol than the C5. I don't think it will play nice with the C5.

I would have thought that you could stick anything in any car with a bit of customization. but I am not an expert so don't take my word for it! Terry

Went to a audio shop yesterday and they said the same thing. Better off going with something aftermarket. When there is a good deal, you gotta ask!
