Hi

I'm not sure if I'm asking this question in right area but here it goes. I just bought a 1984 Corvette thats in poor condition. Over the winter I plan to fix her up. The carpets are all stained and discolored, from what looks like years of neglect. Is there any easy way to repair carpet color? I'm new here so will be asking alot of questions to get good understanding on what all I will be needing to do.
thanks for your help.

You might want to try die'ing it, if still no dice, might have to get new carpets.

If they are really bad I would invest in some new carpet. The price of some new carpets is not that bad when you consider the time your spend, the cost of the products and the results you will achieve trying to bring them back to like.

If you do want to try I would take all the carpet out of the car. Wash it very well (Woollite works good and is not expensive). If the carpets are discolored you would have to dye them. If the carpet is worn there's nothing you can do.
