I'm going to be purchasing a new set of wheels this spring. The sizes are 18x8.5 in the front and 19x11 out back. is anybody running or have any suggestions on tire sizes for this combo? i would like to run either a 315 or 325 in the rear if possible. please post any pictures you might have of the 18/19" staggered fit

315 is the widest that I think you can use on the rear if you are not going to do a widebody.

I saw a C5 once that did not have a widebody on it and they had 325's on the back, it didn't look good and the tires were protruding a little bit.

315's sound like the way to go then. maybe even 305's. i just dont want the tire to bulge out or look like it's too narrow for the wheel. thanks for the input

Tire sizes do vary from tire to tire like shoe sizes with different brands. I have 305/30/19's on the rear and they are about the same width as another brands 315's (they actually stick a little out about 3/8", which I did not expect them to when I bought them, I had a different brand 295 on before these, and thought surely one size up wouldnt be that different. but it is.)

Just keep in mind what Ron said, I have seen that before too. But for the most part you should be just fine with 305 and at the most 315's!

305/30/19 sounds like a winner. what brand of tire are you running? What tire size would be good for the 18x8.5" wheels up front?

Here you can see that they stick out about 3/8" I was not thinking that was going to happen or I might have probably got a different brand or size, but it is cool. (ok it is a little around 1/2 inch actually. I wish they made like a 1" rear fender instead of the 2" L5 one that they have now.

Ron I like the floor in your garage where did you get it

I bought it at Home Depot harware supplier. Paid about $380 for enough to do the whole double garage, I think it is 24 feet by 24 feet. and that was also the cleaner and sealer stuff to prep the floor with first. A friend of mine (member here too) helped me and we got it all done from start to finish in about 8 hours... that was with a few more breaks then we really needed too.

Surpisingly it came out perfectly square with all the walls and the garage door. Amazing what happens when you follow the instructions. (which by the way said to start in the middle after marking out the 1/2 way point both ways to form a cross hairs type snap line of chaulk.)

That cost also left me with one and a half boxes of spare tiles. I thought I may need some extras. They have been down almost two years and not a problem or issue at all. I even accidently did a little burnout on them about a month or two ago, and they did not peel or come up, the rubber is still on them. ( I was in the Z and just started, and had my daughter 11 years old with me in there too. Foot on the clutch and car in gear and running, just started it. When my daughter said oh dad don't forget to turn off the passengers side airbag for her. So I went to shut the car off to use the key to turn off the passengers air bag, but let the clutch out before shutting the ignition off...parking brake still on...it squealed the tires and I reacted quick enough to clutch it before it stalled or jumped forward into the wall...lol OMG)

anyway the floor is tough, looks good, easy to clean, I have used a low-profile floor jack on it.

The tiles came in 18"x18" squares, with 2 black and 2 white squares on each tile. they were peel off backs so just peel and stick.

If you want to know the brand and or any other information PM me.

If you want I have a series of pictures of the floor being laid just let me know and I can post some of those too...
