I need to get a new camera, my camera is only 1.3 megapixels and is the size of a brick. There are so many cameras out there so while logged on figured I would ask and save some homework time! I'm not looking for the greatest maybe something around $200? That looks like I could get a decent camera?

My wife has a Kodak EasyShare C340 that I like a lot. Also has the printer dock so she can print out her pics. They look amazing.
I also have a Panasonic SHR-H18 video Camera. Has a 30 or 40 gig hard drive built in. Movies straight to the computer via usb. It also does pics, but I don't use it that way.
Please note that BOTH kodak and Pansonic software SUCKS <insert favorite bad word here>. I hate both pieces of software with a passion. Kodak is a memory hog that only works when it feels like, and I have bypassed all Panasonic software entirely.
But their hardware is good.

Olympus here, I think its around 8 mega pixels, good camera considering how many times it has been dropped.

I would stay away from any Sony that doesn't have a Carl Zeiss lens. The standard Sony lenses are subpar.
I have a Canon SD450 and I love it. It has an awesome auto mode, I hardly ever take it off of auto and I shoot all kinds of pics (motion, dark, outdoor, etc). All Canons come with a decent software package, great all around camera.

I am a big fan of the Canon's as well, just bought my wife her second Canon camera(a Canon Sd750). Her first canon an sd450 was great and held up to a lot of abuse, but it met its demise at a Halloween party where not only did it take a hard fall but someone also decided to bite the camera!!! Yes, this party got a little out of control!!! Anyways, stick with Canon... good quality, good price, and easy to use. I am currently planning on buying the new Canon HD digital Video Camera. You get a HD Video camera with a hard drive for under $1000 that is pretty hard to beat!

Canon is good stuff, put a $1000 for a camera? You must be pretty hard core! I'll stick with my $249 ebay special!
