I have a 68 Corvette with a small block, edelbrock rpm intake, and a carter AFB competition carb . The hood will not close due to the air cleaner sitting too high. I want to use a drop base plate and filter. Can anyone recommend a brand and part # that you know will work ?

I'm having the same problem with the 72 vette I married installing a Jasper turn key class II engine. I've also spent about 12 hours on the net looking for modular air induction system. No luck yet. everything I've looked at appears as though it's going to sit too high.
