ECM reset after Putting new injectors in? [Archive]

I've been reading some new info about resetting the ECM after an injector install and was wondering if this was really necessary.
The Bosch III injectors from FIC have been installed and my mileage went up from around 18 to 20 mpg Without resetting the ECM.
Is there any reason as to why the ECM would need to be reset, seeing that the 02 sensors are reading the air fuel in the exhaust and then gives that info to the ECM. THen the correct amount of fuel is dispensed.

Well if you aren't changing the injector size I don't see why you would need to.
