Downshift or use the brakes more? Which method is less evasive to the car?

Brakes are cheap...............

I most always use the brakes too, they are less expensive to replace, and easier too... just my 2 cents worth.

I try to use a combination of the two in order to not stress one out more than the other. Does it work? Don't know!lol

i thought that's what reverse was for...:doh:

it depends. for short quick slow downs, i use the brakes. if it's a long downhill, i downshift.
