Coming back from lunch today on the freeway I hit the gas pretty good to pass someone and it's kind of hard to explain, but I pressed down on the gas hard like I would normally do when passing or looking to speed up quick. This time it almost seemed like I would press down and the car would pause before you would hear the motor reacting to the gas pedal position? After the first time this happened I did it again and car did the same thing. I press the pedal down and it's almost as if its on a delay of some sort. I have a 2006 C6 with the A6 automatic transmission. The only mods I have on the car have been on it for a little while (Kooks headers and SLP Blackwing).
The car has not done this before and I checked for codes and didn't see any?
Has this happened to anyone and what was the cause?
Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Normal. I believe the transmission torque control is stepping in. I don't have the technical knowledge to explain it. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Paul, are you around?

Thank you for the response, I can't imagine this as "normal" as today is the first day it has done this and I've stepped on the gas pleanty of times prior to this and no delay?

Did you say you checked for codes? I'm leaning towards the throttle position sensor? Only thing I could think off, you said it just started today?

Mine did that all the time before I got a tune, it had something to do with the shifting points.

Sounds like you need your tranny tuned and the torque management?

Mine did that until I turned off the traction control. I guess that's how it controls the traction, by cutting the engine power so the tires don't spin.:thumbsup3:

With all these fancy computers in these things, I'll leave this for the tuners to deal with. I never did understand why GM made the automatics such prissy shifters?

I'd bring it to tuner and have them tune up your shifting points.

Post up what the issue was, or if it was indeed just the factory shift points.

What your explaining sounds pretty exact to what mine was doing, you need to let a tuner change your shift points and some of the transmission settings and you will be good.
