Hi there, just picked up my 1972 corvette today and I can't find the location for the headlight dimmer switch, the one that sets your lights from high to low beam and vice-versa. I looked all over the steering column, the floor etc. and nothing. Does anyone know where this beast of a button/switch is found ?
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Chris

Ok, found the silly switch on the floor under the floor mat lol !!
Another question about the 1972 corvette. The corvette has a trunk key spot on the rear of the vehicle, but of course it doesn't have a trunk lid that opens and closes (you gain access from behind the seats inside the vehicle). My question is simply this then....what is that key location for then ? A friend of mine seems to think its for a spare tire release. I haven't tried it out yet, but I am afraid that I might do something I should not be doing by putting a key in there and turning it lol !
Thanks again in advance for any replies

The key location is for an alarm

Thanks a bunch for that answer. I take it if I lock the doors of the vehicle and turn this key that a type of passive security alarm engages for anyone who tries to open the doors without a key then ?
