K&N for sure. Better filtration. Pricey, but this is one area you do not want to scrimp on.

:iagree: 3rd vote for the K&N. Yeah, they're more expensive, but they're worth it, and there IS a difference!

HOLD EVERYTHING! i hate oiled air filters. They dont filter worth cr*p! have you ever held one up to the sun and look through it. you can see light. they dont even start to filter until they are filthy dirty. I use only dry filters. no mess with getting oil on MAS sensors or anything. I prefer the the AFE pro dry filter. Same filter tech used on CAT engines as well as stock honey comb filter on all new duramax chevy and GM trucks. Say no to OIL please...

Hey Lucky,
I have noticed that the light comes easily through the K&N. But lets face it, we are not driving these cars where my excavation contractor drives his Cat. I think a motor will breath easier with K&N and I'll bet that the company has not grown successful for building junk. I use them, wash them, and reoil them...they work great. Won't buy anything with "green" in the name. 1969RAY :patriot:

I've been using K&N fliters for years... used them on everything from my first car projects years ago, to my sportbike, both the pickups I've had, on up to my Vette. There's even a K&N fliter available for the Cessna 182 I fly on pipeline patrol. If they werent good, the FAA wouldnt allow them on a certified aircraft, believe me. What I have found is, most people that complain that they get oil on their MAS are using TOO MUCH oil when they wash and re-oil the element. I've never had this problem, and I've put alot of miles on the K&N's I've had, in alot of different conditions.

Well its all good then. I live in a remote moutain area. We have alot of cinder dust up here. All i know is almost every other filter maker has switched from oil to dry. Take AEM and there Brute Force system. it now comes in a dry filter. I guess it all comes down to what your comfy with. Me its dry, and others its oil. Its all good. LOL  :thumbsup3:
