Need new tires on my 98. I had cooper zeon's and they weren't bad.
Now its time to replace them and I'm thinking about these Firestones. Is any one using them?

If your speaking of the Firestone SZ50 Firehawks, I had replaced my OEM Goodyears with these on my C4. They were a good tire and I would have replaced with the same until I tried the Nitto 555 Extremes. I liked these even more, good grip (wet & dry), good wear, low noise, and a good looking tread design. Nitto also has a pretty good web site with descriptions, pictures, and applications, of their tires.
You have so many choices if you don't want to run Run Flats and there are so many good brands out there.
Why don't you check out http://www.tirerack.com or http://discounttire.com
Tire rack has rated quite a few tires with specs on wear, comfort, and noise.
Let the forum know what tire you decided on - I will be replacing my OEM GYRF on my C5 pretty soon.

The NITTO 555 are only like a 7000k tire right?

Absolutely not! I believe you may be thinking of the NT555 Drag Radial.
This tire has a treadwear rating of 300 - traction rating "A" and temperature rating "A"

Check out the web site and look under the street product lineup.
