: Adjusting parking brake on C5? general 11-13-2007, 06:25 AM Even with the parking brake fully in the up position and the car is in neutral it rolls and the parking brake is not catching? Mine wasn't working either so when I installed my ripper shifter I cleaned and lubed the parking brake gears and ratchit mechcanism where the handle is. There is no noise. I just pull up and it stops and the car still rolls? Where are those gears you speak of? Under the car or under center console? Thanks slvr built!
