Guys - was wondering how do you calculate the fuel economy of these cars?

What sort of mileage you getting out of a gallon?

I get about 20.7 according to the fuel trip computer. And that includes regular "beatings" or more politely put "spirited driving!"
I have gotten 26-27mpg from my home in SC to Road Atlanta in GA., and the same going to Bowling Green.

I wish I was in the same boat as you, I'm down in the mid teens on a good day!

The car does calculate your gas milage for you, just press the FUEL button on the DIC to see what you're doing, if that's what you're asking.

Mine is not a happy camper. I average about 13-14 mpg driving around the streets of Albuquerque. If I get on the freeway it goes up a few mpg, and driving it back from Dallas to Albuquerque I did manage a very respectable 26mpg.

Note: mine is NOT stock, has a very healthy cam, and that makes part of the difference. The other difference is I DESPERATLY need a dyno tune, cuz she's running RICH as hell!

Might as well jump in here...I get mid to high 20's most of the time. At a steady 60 mph it will get over 30 mpg without too much trouble. If I get a little froggy with it the mileage quickly drops. Educate your right foot and you can get good mileage. 'Course my car is mostly stock and that makes a difference.

The car's internally calculated MPG is fairly accurate for most of the Vettes, only a few owners have complained of theirs being off. I was very surprised at the excellent MPG I get when driving both in town and on the Highway, considering the HP we have.

But seriously, this isn't a Prius! I'd only use it to verify a rich condition or to shut someone up who's bitching about how awefull gas guzzler ego cars and SUVs are! :smack: It's happened to me!

Al's car (01 Z06 TEA heads, 228/236, Kooks 1 7/8", 3.73 gears, PS2 tires, 460 RWHP) pulls down mid to high 20's on the highway and high teens on the street. A lot depends on the tuning & driver. :D

The "spirited" driving does tend to hork down the fuel though. LOL

27 to 30 on highway and low to mid 20's in city, lower numbers if my right foot gets heavy. :)
