My mechanic says that the check engine light that I have is from the knock sensor being bad. Now correct me if I am wrong but I don't hear anything wrong with the engine, no noise no nothing just a smooth sounding machine. Is my mech. blowing smoke up my you know what?

That is the rear sensor circuit. Have you ever washed your motor? There is a TSB out that discusses water getting into the knock sensor and causing issues. Fix it to basically build a **** of silicone around the sensor seal on the valley cover after the problem is corrected.
