I realize after reading so many threads on here that I am pretty in the dark on a lot of things, learning as we go here, today I would like to talk about the dynamics of head flow and what constitutes that, also I have always wondered about the texture of the port walls. Seems there has been some debate about the texture keeping air/fuel in suspension. But then I have read that this is not the case. Thought, questions, attributes, opinions.. please share!

Hello
On the Intake Ports, The Ruffer the Texture the Better, This keeps the air / fuel mixture mixing as it's moving down the Intake Port instead of puddling gas. On the Exhaust Side the Smoother is Better, This keeps Exhaust Gases Moving Fast and Pulling the next Intake Charge in the the Cylinder. And helps to keep Carbon Deposits from Sticking to Exhaust Ports.

Agree with David Steele. Just take the lumps & bumps out of the intake runners.
I will add that it is very important to port match the heads to the intake manifold.
