I'm not so sure how I'll be accepted here.
Seems most of the stuff here is VERY stock and I AM NOT STOCK!
Some of you may already know me and my "Love Is Blue" 1966 wild blown big block full custom.
I've owned her since new, going on 41 years of memories.
We've done it all together over those 4 decades, including a lot of different forms of racing; drags, autocrossing, solo timed events on full race courses up and down the east coast, rallies, economy runs, even a little roundy round in spectator racing, won more than my share of trophies and a little money, did the show thing and been in some of the largest magazines on the market over the years. We knocked them over when I did the LONG HAUL on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2004 with my wild custom blown BB, driving from Dallas, TX to Green Bay WI, then traveling all over the east coast visiting all the spots where a lot of those memeories were made 30 years ago.
In September, we just got back from Corpus Christi, TX where my Vette was 1 of the 305 Vettes that set a Guinness Book world record aboard the flight deck of the USS Lexington CV-16 (The Blue Ghost) and then traveling to Dawsonville, GA for a photo shoot with Fast & Sexy Magazine, which was posted in October '07 on their site.
I'm still making a couple of passes down the strip at Speed World in Orlando, Fl from time to time, just to keep the blood flowing. I'm usually one of the oldest guys there at age 63.
So you see, I'm still getting my kicks in my '66, even on Rt.66 too, and just as car crazy as I was back in the 60's when I first dropped the hammer on my 427/425 4 spd drop top.
If you like my toy & want to talk, I hope you will drop me a line and chat . SPOdie@cfl.rr.com
Later, Glenn E. Smith- "Mr. Blue"

Welcome to SmokinVette.com. Daytona Beach huh? I went to college at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, as a business development and commercial airline pilot! Small world... great looking Vette you have there. Looks like you have a few mods on her! Actually you will find a number of Vette owners here have some pretty heavily modified Vettes.

Any rate, welcome and make yourself at home!

See you around.

Alex

Thanks Alex for the greet.
So far, none of those other 'Mod' guys (or anyone else) seems to have noticed yet. Hope to hear from them in the coming weeks.

I'm somewhat a Corvette newbie and have to say that Vette is... can't figure a word to discribe! Did you do all the work yourself on that? I see you are the original owner, which is pretty amazing in itself. Welcome to the site regardless!

That is an amazing project you have nurtured for the past 40 yrs, keep it up. Mine is a 65 coupe picked up in Jan 66- Fairly stock body with 4.56, 6 speed, Goodyear Bluestreak Sports Car Specials on salt flat So-Cal knockoffs, zz430 clone motor with a C2 procharger system(590hp) under a black stinger hood with marina blue paint. It was repainted in 67 to Oldmobile Starfire Mist Blue Metallic- a little too flashy/gaudy for today so went back to the stock paint scheme. Remember: Blue, blue my world is blue.Im so blue when Im without you. 1969? It is still a hit as far as I am concerned... and so are you.!!!! Happy Veterans Day (Go scratch a patch for the faint of heart tomorrow)

Fellow Daytona Beach Vette owner! I want to say I have seen your car around. I haven't really attended any shows, after seeing your car here, I may want to get out more often!
