Just wondering how much it would cost to install a Vararam into 2002 C5? I have the Vararam just don't want to install it myself? I'm located in AZ?

I was quoted $150.00. HELL NO! I am not all that mechanically inclined, and pulled it off in 3-4 hours. Not overly difficult. Give it a try!

I would have done the same! $150 would by some nice new mats or another small mod!

Do it yourself if you are handy, its easy when you take your time. Just put aside a few hours and save yourself some money.

You have Vararam correct? Do you know if I can use a Granatelli MAF with this? Get more power with both? Appreciate your help

I was just looking at Vararams, and curious do they make them for Z's? I know they have them for C5 and C6's. It should be the same correct?

I'm sure they do, I was looking at getting Vararam or Honker myself, I have been reading all the post here on both. I think the Vararam deal you get more power from?

Will you be getting a before and after dyno done? Curious to see what HP you actually can from that?

Does anyone know if something like this is recommended on a high mileaged Vette?

Can't see why you couldn't install? I think they claim up to 40HP for this even if they are 1/2 right its only 20HP being added. I would say go for it.

I've installed a Vararam B2 on my 04 Z06 and it was a pain in the ***, since there is little room it guarantees scratches on your hands and arms. You can use any stock or aftermarket MAF, But for best results you should still get a high flow air duct to add on top of that. Plus a velocity stack also works great and it's also made by Vararam.

The Vararam for the C5 covers all including ZO6 they do also offer different filter options. I do not care for the Granatelli MAF. The ZO6 MAF is 85mm so you guys with ZO6's I would just leave it alone, as for you LS1 guys you can get a 85mm MAF calibrated for you year of car. As for the install it can be done in your garage on ramps but it will be some work. The Vararam does not Dyno well so don't expect big numbers their claim is on the street or track with the air being forced in, unless your Dyno can move the right amount of air into the front of the car. My opinion is it is the best system.

It's hard to get an accurate dyno number, because the Vararam needs a large amount of air flow. They perform well at speeds 65 and above, But let us know what dyno number you pull anyway, It will be interesting. Good luck

Vararam is now installed and this thing was a bitch to install! I'm not a mechanic so had a hard time. But have to say this thing is pretty slick, you can here it sucking in air (either that or its my head messing with me)! Thanks everyone for all the help here!
