Iam installing new weatherstriping throuout a 64 coupe I started by using g.m. weatherstrip adhesive a friend who works at a chevy dealer got for me. The price was right, but I am not happy with the way it seems to hold.I dont know if it is me or the product. This is a fresh paint job.so I have a clean surface to work with.Does anybody have a good product to recommend. Thanks

I've always used 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive - comes in black or yellow. Make sure you use denatured alcohol on a rag on the weatherstrips first to clean off the mold-release compound, or the adhesive won't work. Work about 12" segments at a time, and use masking tape to hold it in place while the adhesive cures.
