COULD ANYBODY PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO MAKE MY AUTO BOX CHANGE OVER A LITTLE LATER?
IT IS VERY FAST DRIVING IT THROUGH THE GEARS BUT IN DRIVE, IT SEEMS TO CHANGE OVER TOO QUICK?

Is it a 700R4 or 4L60E? If 700R4 you have to change out the springs and weights inside the tranny to alter the shift points. If 4L60E you can have the PROM reprogrammed. If its a 700R4 and the shift points are too low you need to make sure the TV Cable is properly adjusted. How quick is too quick? If it's stack shifting your TV cable could be out of adjustment and causing low line pressure which will burn out your 3,4 clutch pack in short order. I'd get that checked pronto if I was you.

4L60E = Yes
700R4 = No

He didn't say what model year his car is. If he has a 700R4 it isn't electronic and therefore cannot be electronically retuned.

The 700R4 will shift early if the governor is weak. Check to make sure your throttle pressure is set right. May try installing a governor & see if it helps. I have done several that way. If it seems like no matter how much throttle pressure you give it, it still seems to shift early, I would change out the governor for sure.
