I was asked yesterday what suspension I had on my car Z51 or Magnetic? Whats the difference between these two suspensions and how do you tell which is on the car? I'm kind of new to these cars so don't know. :confused:

I think the Z51 is just shocks and such and the magnetic deal is the car will lower it self during high speeds and will raise during slower speeds? Could be wrong :confused:

You can check the code numbers on the sticker in your glove box. If it is Z51 it will be on there. I'm pretty sure magnetic is still the "FX3" Selevtive Ride Control. 2003 was the first year for Magnetic Selective Ride Control.:burnout:
