that is interesting Mike, I would have said to check exactly what you already did. I will bet that one of the pro's on here will chime in with the good stuff!:thumbsup3:

I had the same problem and it wasn't a relay, my linkage needed adjusted.

Did this start happening after washing the car or after a heavy rain? If your drain udders are blocked the control board for the wipers (attached to the motor) can get submerged and make the wipers go nuts...

The linkage is what I would look at.

is the motor and linkage inside or outside of the car?

Outside under the cowl cover, pull out all the little push pins and remove the cowl cover... all will be revealed! :lol:

Take a good look at the linkage and motor connection (located on the left ((Driver's)) corner) the Torx screw may have come loose. To make sure it's in the corret position, turn your key to run, select a delayed wiper setting and wait for the wipers to park at the innerwipe (a temporary park location higher then where the wipers normally park), turn the key off and verify the linkage to motor connection to these pics;

On mine the linkage (it's called the transmission actually) wasn't installed correcly and I purchased and installed a new motor assembly and had the same problem! At least verify this is correct before throwing money at it...

Man... I'll tell ya Mike, it still sounds like it isn't installed correctly. I wonder if it's 180 degrees off or something? Can you compare your linkage to another C5 in your area?
