My 99 C5 convertible could use a little beefer sound to it and want to get some aftermarket exhaust, has anyone heard or have the Granetelli cat back exhaust system? If so hows the sound? I don't want it to loud but would like to get a little muscle in the sound? Thanks for your input.

LOL I didn't even know what Granetelli made an exhaust! I just know them from the mass air flow deal. I would recommend going with Borla, Corsa, Bassani or even B&B. You will find a ton of Vette owners are running one of these and may chim in here to give their opinion.

I have a 1999 C5 also, if you want a great sounding exhaust I would highly recommend Borla or Bassani. I have owned both and love the sound. I currently have Borla's on the car. Hope this helps

Thanks for the information on the exhaust systems, let me ask this, which one gives the best performance? Everyone has pointed out the sound, curious which will give greatest gains in power?

I have the granatelli exhaust and think their the best investment I made on my C5. This systems has absolutely no drone at cruise and/or highway speeds. The idle does not have that motorboat sound and does not require an x-pipe. When letting off the throttle it has a nice rumble sound without the popping or back firing. I can't say enough on how great this exhaust system turned out to be.
And, I paid exactly $500.00 to my door. I had them installed at a local Corvette shop for less then $100.00 and that included tack welding the system once I was happy with the alignment and position.
Don't be fooled by the price - this system will blow you away!

check out their web site - they have a great installation video and sound clip.

They kind of look like the B&B bullets? Are they about the same exhaust?
