I would like to remove the side molding on my 2002, I notice that most Corvettes come with the side moldings. I think it would look better with it off. Has anyone removed these side moldings, and if so, what was the process to remove?

I believe you can take it off with hair dryer and fishing line. Heat up the molding and take the fishing line just like dental flose behind the molding.

I helped a friend do this to his car, its MUCH easier if you have a couple of people, one holding the hair dryer and the other one working the fishing line and pulling the molding off. You will need to take a buffer to the spot after.

Will the heat from the hair dryer ruin the paint? Thanks!

A heat gun will ruin the paint, but a hair dryer won't
