Hi every one I need some help. I have been reading, and reading trying to find anything that is close to the problem Im' having. I have a 1994 C4 automatic about 150k after driving for about 45 minutes as soon as I get into the city at a light I have to keep my foot on the brake because the car will surge about 2k from the normal idle which is under 1k I'm running temps on highway between 198 211 city my temp goes up when surge starts to about 230. Fans come on at about 224.

I have seen other posts on this issue they suggested to spray throttle body cleaner into the intakes and use MAP sensor cleaner I did both but no change. I also have no check engine light but I have a service LTPWS can this be the problem.

Hello
The LTPWS light wont cause any problems with the running of the engine. A couple things you mite check is theres a rubber hose that connects the PCV tube to the intake manifold, I have seen this hose spit and make a big vacuum leak intern making a poor idle, Also check the vacuum to the cruse control servo, For some reason when this hoses go over the battery they seem to rot away making a vacuum leak there, And last you mite try removing the vacuum hose to the EGR valve and plug it off, Drive it and see if it helps. Hope this helps.

Is it just me or do there seem to be a heck of a lot of similar issues w/ the 94's??
