New to Smokinvette from Fresno. My name is Jim and have owned a number of Corvettes over the years starting with my first one in 1974. My screen name "Summerof1974" reflects a great year for me. This was the year my son was born and the year that I bought my first brand new Corvette. I sold the 1974 in 2001 and bought a new project a 1987 C4 Convertible that I have been slowly restoring over the last 6 years. The only thing left that I need to do is the interior. I was over at another forum and got tired of reading posts about the weirdest things!

Any way after reading some of the post here, looks like a good group of Corvette enthusiast here. :D

Welcome to smokinvette and your restoration project looks great. You can't go wrong with black. You will find that there some great Corvette people here. I have been coming onto a year and have made this my preferred Corvette forum for similiar reasons you mentioned. So thank you Smokinvette for giving us Corvette nuts a home to hang our hat! :D
