Purchased a used '94 convertible, but soon discovered that the cruise control, although functional, does not maintain constant speed, even on the most level straightaways, and regularly decreases speed gradually, and only resumes correct speed setting by feathering the accelerator.

Is this a simple crusie control unit replacement? Or is there anything else that can be done to isolate and solve the problem?

Received several replies from another forum and after several trouble shooting suggestions, purchased a replacement cruise control servo from eBay. Waiting for replacement part delivery and replacement to know for certain if this solves the problem. Will confirm one way or another when replacement is completed.

Purchased a servo control unit from eBay, replaced the old one, and presto, it solved the problem. Cruises great now!
