I think the valves are going in my '87. I think a valve job is very needed. Whats a good set of replacement valves to use? I don't want stock and would rather something with some aftermarket qualities.

How have you diagnosed bad valves??
Generally, the condition of the engine will be the same, are you having misfire's or compression problems??

I don't want to rain on your parade but...
Are you planning on doing some serious racing? You can spend more on a pair of aftermarket heads than most C-4's cost, then of course you'll need a cam, springs, lifters....and the list goes on.
Just using an aftermarket valve I doubt will do anything other than cost you extra money, I'm assuming you meant Valve train, to include lifters, springs and the whole deal. Best course would be to talk to a few of the tuners out there and buy one of their packages....you'll still need to do the machine work on the heads, but most if not all the major tuners will have a "package" with different preformance levels. Think out what you want to accomplish long term with your car, and then start working in that direction.
Keep in mind that seldom will a single mod give much/any extra preformance, you'll need a series of mods to add any real HP, and the best place to start would be exhaust..As your planning on having the heads off for rebuild, long tube headers would be a very wise choice, you can always do the rest of the exhaust later

Why do you think the valves are going? Stumbling? Smoke out the exhaust? Usually stumbling without codes is old dirty injectors.
