Theroetically then alot of our Vettes with way more HP can do easily over 200, right?

From what I know about this question is that the C5 Z06's are gear limited, and also areo dymaically not as streamline as the C6 Z06's therefore the top speed is not as much.

I have got more horsepower and torque then any stock C6 Z06, but I still do not have the tops speed of the C6 Z06, although I may get to my top speed quicker then them, but that is also yet to be seen too...

But if said C5 had say like 700 HP, what about it then?

I can't find it now but there's a formula for figuring this out. As I remember, it takes an ENORMOUS amount of power to overcome the air resistance when you're getting up that high...

But I would think 700 RWHP should get you pretty darn close to 200! :lol: Hmmm Maybe not, I was shocked at the power it took...

Yeah, it's a fact due to gearing and wind resistence, the C5 Coupe has a higher top speed than the Z06.

Wind does more than you think. The Buggatti Veyron needs only 270hp to do 155mph, but needs another 731hp to do 254mph.
