What is the main difference with a SC that sits in front of the engine and the ones that are on the top of the engine. Performance wise, obviously I know the difference in the looks!:thumbsup3:

Front mount S/C's are usually the centrifugal type. They make boost linearly (in general) in that the higher you rev them the more boost they make. They generally make much more HP than torque.

Top mounts (roots/screw type) they generally make instant maximum boost as soon as you hit the loud pedal. The top mounts generally make huge amounts of torque and a little less HP than their centrifugal counterparts.

As a Tuner, which do you prefer or recommend?

We are a bit partial to the twin turbos as that is our specialty. We also like the newest TVS series from Magnuson & Eaton.
