Okay, here's a good one for ya....let's see who else has had this problem:

I live in Southern California, in the Inland Empire, where nearly every day durning the summer is well over 105-110 degrees. I went to the mall with my girlfriend where we did a lot of shopping and had a long lunch, and when I came back to the car, got in, started it....the heads-up display was not visible. I tried the adjustment and NOTHING. Turns out, the stupid thing had MELTED. (I guess the reflector???) Of course, I took it to Corvette Specialties where the head mechanic told me the whole dash had to be yanked out and it would be at least a grand to fix.

Total drag!
