Hey guys, going to get a oil change this weekend, any of you use Synthetic Oils? The shop where I'm bringing the car recommend Napa "full synthetic oil"? He kept referencing "full synthetic oil", what is there a partial synthetic oil?

Mobil One is the standard for all corvette engines, and it is full synthetic. You should ask for it by name! I personally don't think the oil filter is as big a deal (but there have been nasty flame wars over things like that elsewhere).

Are you tackling it yourself or letting someone else do it? Make sure it's someone you really trust. I don't know very many people that would recommend taking it to the quicky-lube places. I thought about taking mine to Valvoline before I bought a good racing jack, because they do my other five vehicles and would probably let me into the Pit with them to watch, but I held off and bought a jack instead and did it myself!

Mobil One. 90% of the guys I road race with use the same. The track puts a huge load on the engines. If it works on the track, no wonder it's OEM on vettes.
