I bought my first car in 1976 at the age of 16. It was a 70 Chevelle, 350, with 3 speed automatic on the floor.

I wish I still had the car. It was a great car.

My first car was a 1953 Mercury (Monterey) two door hardtop. It was purchased for $1,100.00 cash that was erned from part time jobs.
I can still here (as I am sure the neighbors did at 1:00 AM most nights) the twin "Smitty" glass packs as I ran thru the gears.
Would I like to have that car back today? No - some things are best left to memories.
New momories are now being made with my 04-/C5.:burnout:

72 Olds Cutlass "S". Fastback not notchback. 350 Olds engine. Swapped out the 2 bbl for a Qjet and had a blast with it. Kept it until just about 8 years ago. Lots of memories but I don't really miss it. It wallowed in the turns badly because the suspension was completely worn out.

My first car was a 1964 Ford Fairlaine 500. Would I want it back... no.
I'd want my second car back...

A 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T with a 440 Super Commando under the hood!!!
Funny thing is, the guy I bought it off of, bought it back off of me when I sold it. He then went on to get 2 more (one a convertible).

My first CAR was actually a 1978 Corvette. And I do still have it sitting beside my 01!

Don't plan on getting ride of either of them. However, I do plan on getting a lot more Vettes to add to the collection!

First actual mode of transportation...Yamaha motorcycle...I was cruisin around the back roads of South Carolina with my dad at the age of 13! What in the world was he thinking letting me do that???
