I have been a member to all the other "vette sites" and at the time the others were alot bigger than SV. However, I just fully enjoyed SV and the people here so much more than the other places and that is all that mattered, I had FUN! So now, fast forward SV has grown leaps and bounds yet they still have the same atmosphere as before, just alot of crazy yet funny people here! (Circus) lol

I have signed up with a few, but i find that SV is the best one. Greg and Alex and all the Agents are great (so far) lol... I'm sticking with SV.....

I had signed up at one other forum and sorry, this site will be a tough one to beat. I don't get online as much as I would like to, all I have to say is this site has all the winning pieces to what I'm saying is my corvette forum home. Thanks for having me.

Better people here and I don't even see any of the moderators here, at other sites you know where the mods are at all times because they are busting people left and right!

General observations:

Pros:

-Very laid back atmosphere.
-Friendly people.
-Mods/admins that actually get involved in the discussions as "one of the pack."
-Certainly not over moderated.
-Decent content.:thumbsup3:

Cons:

-A bit slow at times (Traffic).
-A little difficult for me to navigate.
-Wish the "new post" page was larger and more prominent.

I'm on several sites and moderate a regional one. I like the level of moderation (or lack thereof) I see here. The content with the lack of moderation shows me that the people posting here are mature enough to police themselves, and adult enough to take whats posted with a grain of salt:thumbsup3:

Of the "international" sites I am or have been involved with, this one is one of the better ones.

The Corvette Forum has gone :toilet: IMO with heavy handed moderation, admins that don't listed or care. This last discussion about DVD would never have happened there. Hutch, me and anyone else that simply asked a question, would have been :banned: for "calling out a moderator" or some general disruption :bs:  .

Some of the others are ok, but a bit stuffy and stodgey. Sort of like belonging to the (best Thurston Howell III voice on) country club.

Some are over run with :bs: and too many childish jokes/pranks.

Then again, others are very laid back yet have quite a bit of traffic.

I say keep up the good work and this site will flourish!:thumbsup3: :thumbsup3:

:iagree: With all that basically. And no need to keep bashing on Corvette Forum since they really are hanging themselves....I think it has something to do with "karma" myself....

Thanks.:thumbsup3:

Wasn't a "bash" just an observation. Please don't misunderstand my meaning. It was just the most glaringly obvious difference between all the sites I am or have been on:thumbsup3:

I'd like to have the ability to click on a new post tab and look at those. Also, where's the control Panel (CP) tab?

Finally, it would be nice to see a teaser of what the thread entails by placing the cursor over the title:thumbsup3:

Very entertaining and incredibly informative!!!!!Easy to navigate and talk with friends you make around the country. All my mods to my car were generated from this SUPERSITE and made my car even more pleasure to see and drive than stock alone!!THe other forums are a fantastic study hall away from your particular forum!!For example, the "POST A JOKE...." thread is awesome!! AWESOME SITE!!!!!:worship: :thumbsup3: :sm_party: :grouphug:

I also see Mr. Mercury is here, couldn`t leave that Pez despenser alone, huh ?

Cheers mates, I am colorful and animated at times but always looking for fun and conversation both silly and serious.

I have joined several Corvette sites, and agree that there is no need in bashing. Let me put it this way: I no longer use the other sites. SV is the best I've found! :thumbsup3:
