First get aquainted with the equipment: in this case an alpine SPX 137r, SPX 17MB woofer and crossover. This will all be running on the F2 channel of the PXA H701 sound processor.

Next: trace out the schematics of the speaker rings and graph out how you want to mount them. in my case a door-plane elevation of 23 and 28 degrees and a ground plane elevation of 35 degrees.

Shave the speaker rings to reflect mounting position and rienforce the back sides with at least 2 wooden dowels. Test fit into the door to make sure it will fit behind the grille. (not shown)

test fit the speakers:

Wrap in cloth for fiberglass treatment.

funny you should say that, I"ll be re-building them tomorrow with 4" midrange drivers for a more accurate midrange and new Midbass speakers (my current ones are starting to loose their surround adhesive)
