I have decided to restore my 1984 C4 and have been looking for some mechanical drawings or something that shows a break down piece by piece of 1984 Corvette? Right now I'm just looking for the interior break down? Any one know where I can find? THX!

I am in the same boat with you. I don't think you can get an Assembly Manual for the 84 yet. Probably the best way to go is purchase the Service Manual which is $100 +. Maybe you can fine a good used one. I did purchase a wiring diragram from a company online. I can't recall the vendor right off, I just searched for wiring diagrams for that model. I also was able to get a vacuum diagram, but it did not include the vacuum diagram of the cruise control system. I am looking for information on that as we speak. I have disassembled both of my doors, center console, Instrument panel, Bose radio. I have only broken about 2 things so far. These plastic parts are easily broken so be careful. I took some pictures if you need any help I will be glad to share my experiences. If you can help me with the cruise control vacuum hoses I would appreciate it. One of the hoses from the cruise vacuum goes to the vacuum storage tank in the front drivers side. This hose has a "T" that is plugged about half way along it's route. Is yours like this? Can you tell me if and where the hose goes from this "T"?

Another great source for diagrams and discriptions is the GM YY parts catalog. The last printed one was in 93 but there are about 6-7 other years floating around in book form. If you know some-one at a dealer ship ask them if they might let you have one since they are out of date and now carried on disk. Or search ebay but don't pay a lot. The book might be expensive to ship though since it is big.
But the factory service manual is the best for rebuilding and diagnostics. I have several years and the 84 is the most lacking in information...unless some-one has updated them since i got mine years ago.

The vendor name I omitted in my previous post is ALLDATAfiy.com. I think the fiy means FIX IT YOURSELF. I subscribed for one year at $29. You can find car specific mechanical and wiring diagrams such as for the 84 Vette. I find it a great source of info. You can print out diagrams and info at will. Check it out. It is a great :tool: :thumbsup3:
