Heres a question I know with other cars you can open the rear hatch with remote or switch on the inside of car. When I bought my 1984 Corvette all I had was the keys given to me, the car didn't even have the owners manual. Is there a switch I'm missing?

Some '84 's had an additional button on the drivers door panel. In the hatchback area at the back under the plastic cover there should be a release cable to manually pop the hatch.

I'm have been trying to pull "blue prints" or mechanical drawings on this car the last few days so I can figure out how to pull this thing apart and to get an idea what is missing and what I need to order. I appreciate your help.

You may have to look into purchasing the GM parts manual.

There is a hatch button inside the console (on the front side of the space once you open the lid) and another on the edge both doors (rocker switch) as mentioned above.
