Hi, im considering purchasing a c4 (my 1st ever vette). My idea is to use it as an everyday car. Would anyone know what year/options I should be looking at? Obviously highest mpg is topping my list.
cheers, v
Vettes get good mpg so long as you stay out of it mine goes to crap when I get in to it but it's a lot better than p/u !! got a 88 in fact some get better mpg than some so called hybrids today !!!

Here's the deal, pretty much whichever year you buy, obviously its all about how you drive it. if you drive with a heavy foot, expect to get 17-20mpg.. if you drive a bit more easy then I've seen that people are getting anywhere from 22mpg to 30mpg. IMO its safe to say go for any year C4 and you should be in about the same boat.:thumbsup3:

:iagree: :iagree: :iagree: I get an average of 20 mpg. Driving a vette there's always that temptation to step on it, to get the juices flowing. Come on! It IS a vette!! By the way, mine is a daily driver.

Meh... Prius isn't a car. It's a toy. The normal hybrids such as the crossovers get around 25-35.
I get around 26 highway and 17 city. 22-23 average.
Put your foot into it and it drops to 3-4mpg.

Thanks everyone for your input. I just wanted a general idea of what i was getting myself into. So they perform a bit better (mpg) than the 68-72 range.

My `85 is my daily driver. It's heavily modified and i still get 18-20 in town and 22-24 on the interstate. But.....I have only gotten 12-14 depending on how I drive it!!!

My '87 has been the best car I've ever owned. I get close to 24-27 MPG, which isn't that bad at all.

I get 26 on the highway. How'd you squeeze out the extra mile?
