I just purchased a 2004 Z06 Corvette. The car only has 18,449 miles and from a appearance stand point, its a great looking car.

I have had this car for only 11 weeks, about 2 weeks ago the car didn't start and I didn't have the time to look into this problem till beginning of last week.

When I finally got it to turn over it sounded like the engine was going to fall apart! It really sounded bad, so I called AAA and had it brought down to the dealer, who called me back a few days later and said that once of the valves had broke and was tossed into the piston springs. Oh and they also said the head was damaged as result of this and I would need a new engine??!
I'm very angry about this because I had spent just about all that I had to spend on a car already on this!

The car is still under warranty and they said someone will need to come down and inspect the car to get some data from the computer. That this may be covered or depending on what they find, it may not??

I guess I'm just waiting to see what happens and venting at the same time. :(

Sorry to hear this, is it covered under warranty? With that little mileage I would think warranty should cover?

The previous owner must have beat the tar out of that car.I can't believe a car with that little mileage threw a valve.Stand firm on making the warranty stick.

I would approuch the ex owner also! Man that sucks! Agrew with Lethal, you need to stand firm with the warranty! I would be very ticked off! Good luck with that
