I just bought an 78 C3 Corvette Pace Car with 23,869 original miles. The car came from Ohio, where it was stored for last 12 years in a barn with very little road time. I have not done anything to this car and first time Corvette owner. I'm handy around the garage but not a "certified" mechanic. When I take off in the car, it runs rough? What can I do to get this running better? As mentioned earlier it has been sitting for a while. Thanks for the advice!

I'd start with the basic tune up, including new plugs, wires, cap rotor etc.

12 years of sitting will cause alot of acumulation of sludge in your fuel tank,fuel lines and it will dry out all the gaskets in you carb.
Clean out fuel tank.fuel lines and regasket and clean carb.You might also have to replace fuel pump.Replacing all the fluids in the entire car is also recommended.Repacking wheel bearings is also vital.You might have to rebuild or replace your brake calipers as they will have collected alot of moisture and be extremly corroded.
